In-person teen lessons run about 90 minutes and are appropriate for kids in the 12-16 age range who are looking to learn more about makeup.

My personal philosophy on makeup extends heavily into these lessons, focusing largely on using makeup as a means of self-expression instead of as a means of camouflage.

I’ll answer any questions they have and we’ll go over all the standard stuff(like covering zits!) but we’ll also talk about creating a style that feels authentic, celebrates their favorite features, and, most importantly, fosters a healthy relationship with makeup and to their own unique beauty. We’ll be looking at un-retouched images on their favorite celebs so they can see what real skin actually looks like and they’ll also be learning proper makeup hygiene!

I am not comfortable teaching children full glam makeup looks or teaching them to contour unless there is a professional need(actors/models) or it’s part of an artistic process. If you are looking for someone to teach your child more glamorous styles, I’m more than happy to recommend some artists who do so - no judgement!
